Lesson/unit bank or holding tank for units, lessons or parts of lessons

tagging onto this, as it's been in the pipeline of asks since 2018 from what I can see. This really is clutch. Ideally every class has a materials area or undated area to hold plans, notes, links, books etc. At the very least one area for the entire book.
Creating a resource planner doesn't really fulfill this, as it needs to be accessible while working on the planner you're in.
Currently, I create a fake class(es) and drop things there, and leave it invisible on the daily/weekly planning pages and website. Which works but is clunky.

I would love this right now. We've had four snow days in a row at the end of our semester. We are supposed to start a new semester on Monday. I don't want to keep bumping a lesson to save it for when I am actually ready to use it. I'd like to be able to save it somewhere so I can pull it back into the mix when it fits my schedule better.

Save unused lessons

Sometimes my day goes sideways; we don't get to a lesson. Or I write a lesson for future use. It would be nice to have a bank area where I could store these extra lessons, so all I need to do is copy and paste them into my week!

Hi Claire,
This is a great idea! For now, here's what to do:
- Click "Lesson Menu"
- Click "Save as template"
When you find a day you want to use the lesson on:
- Click Lesson Menu
- Click "Replace Template from Library"
Let me know if that helps!

Yes I'd love this! I so often get a good idea from some article and think "Ooh I should use this in ELA" or whatever. It would be SO cool if you could create a bank of lessons right in CC that you could then add to classes! (and/or units) I think you guys are working on this! I hope so!! :-)

"Teacher Drawer"

A reservoir for lessons that can be dragged-and dropped into the Unit View to any set of lessons OR added easily into Day or Week views.
Our units change, adapt, and grow each year. Sometimes I may need a resource from 2 years ago that I may have not used last year, but is relevant this year. It would be nice if our Units were stored and synced within a Teacher Drawer, that way we if we improve lessons within a unit, they will be synced to that unit in the Drawer. As of right now, I have to add a Unit from scratch each year, copy and paste standards each year, and then copy and paste lessons each year. Why not have these Units stored in a Teacher Drawer, ready to be pulled out--much like a file cabinet?

There was drop box to store pdfs, docs, powerpoints for lessons/units

Perhaps in the unit section it would be great if I could keep a database of files or folders of materials to use in the units and in later years I have that storage there. Kinda like a dropbox.

It would be helpful to be able to create a unit without assigning it to specific dates right away.

Planning units without creating timetable and have lessons not tied to dates

Hi, I am planning out my year for next year, but I don't know exactly the days I am going to be teaching which classes. It would be useful to somehow plan out the units without having to go through timetabling.

Roll out lessons from a pre-set unit of work

Would be nice to be able to create a sequence of lessons in a unit of learning for a particular year group and have that stored separately. Then these units can be rolled out into the timetable as and when needed.
